River Stone Vessel Sink 14"x13"x6" (36x32x15 cm) — RS2501074

Carved Riverstone (River Stone) Vessel Sink — Hand-Carved Natural Volcanic Basalt — 36 x 32 x 15 cm (14 x 13 x 5.9 in) | RS2501074

The RS2501074 river stone vessel sink is a handcrafted piece, hand-carved from a single block of natural volcanic basalt sourced directly from the volcanic islands of Southeast Asia. Measuring 36 x 32 x 15 cm (14 x 13 x 5.9 in) and weighing 25.15 kg (55 lb), this countertop vessel sink turns any bathroom or powder room into a refuge of sophistication and connection with nature.

Because it is a natural rock formed millions of years ago as volcanic magma cooled, every piece is absolutely one of a kind — the variations in tone, shape and veining guarantee that no one else in the world owns a sink like yours. It is one of the natural stone sinks most sought after by architects and interior designers for high-end projects.

Dual Finish — Organic Exterior and Polished Interior

What sets Marmer Butik's Riverstone sinks apart is the contrast between two finishes that complement each other. The exterior preserves the raw, organic texture of the natural stone, keeping the wild, commanding look of the original basalt — every curve, every irregularity and every nuance of color tells the rock's geological story. The interior, in turn, goes through a high-precision polishing process, resulting in a smooth, satin surface that is extremely easy to keep clean.

This combination of rugged exterior and functional interior is what makes each sink both decorative and absolutely practical for everyday use. It is the most versatile natural stone vessel sink in the Marmer Butik collection — perfect for anyone who wants sophisticated rustic décor without giving up comfort.

Volcanic Basalt — The Power of Fire and Time

Basalt is an extrusive igneous rock, formed as volcanic magma cools rapidly at the Earth's surface at temperatures above 1,100°C (2,012°F). This volcanic birth, under intense pressure and heat, produces one of the densest and most resistant stones on the planet, with extremely low porosity and lifelong durability.

Unlike mass-produced ceramic, porcelain or resin sinks, basalt does not fade, flake or crack with temperature changes, and it does not "age" badly — on the contrary, natural stone gains character over time, becoming a true heirloom in your home.

Which Faucet Goes with This Sink?

Because this is a countertop vessel sink in dark basalt, choosing the right faucet is essential to bring the whole composition together:

• Tall vessel faucet: The best choice — provides a comfortable water flow without splashing and visually enhances the piece.
• Wall-mounted faucet: A clean, sophisticated look that frees up space on the vanity top.
• Ideal finishes: Aged bronze, matte black, brushed gold or copper — they create a sophisticated contrast with the stone's dark tone.

Marmer Butik offers a complete line of bathroom fittings in bronze and matte black, designed to pair with natural stone sinks. See compatible faucets →

How to Care for Your Riverstone Sink

• Daily cleaning: Soft cloth with water and mild soap — never use acids, bleach or abrasives.
• Dry after use: Avoid standing water to preserve the polished finish and prevent stains on the exterior.
• Annual sealing: Apply a sealer made for natural stone once a year.
• Avoid oily substances: Creams, oils and makeup can stain — wipe them off immediately.
• Do not use rough sponges: Choose soft cloths to avoid scratching the polished interior.
• Avoid strong impacts: Despite the high strength of basalt, heavy objects can cause cracks.

Marmer Butik tip: Apply a sealer formulated for natural stone once a year — it seals the micro-pores and keeps water gliding easily off the surface for decades.
