Product description

Volcanic Travertine Marble Vessel Sink — Cream Tone, Hand-Carved — 81 x 39 x 15 cm (32 x 15 x 6 in) | MEC2509815

The MEC2509815 natural travertine marble vessel sink is the largest and most imposing piece in the Marmer Butik marble sink collection, hand-carved from a single block of natural travertine marble quarried from exclusive deposits on the volcanic islands of Southeast Asia (Indonesia). Measuring 81 x 39 x 15 cm (32 x 15 x 6 in) and weighing 77 kg (170 lb), this countertop vessel sink belongs to the Triple Extra Large (XXXL, 80–89 cm / 31–35 in) line, the piece with the greatest size, weight and visual impact in the entire marble collection. Designed for generous master-suite vanity tops, luxury bathrooms and architectural projects that call for a sculptural piece of truly monumental proportions, this sink is the definitive choice for anyone seeking absolute exclusivity in natural marble.

Travertine marble is recognized worldwide for its timeless beauty, used in palaces, luxury hotels and iconic projects around the globe. In a cream tone with unique natural veining, each sink is absolutely exclusive — its veins, pores, mineral marks and nuances of color can never be repeated. Finding a sound block of travertine suitable for carving a sink of this XXXL size is an extremely rare event in nature — blocks of this magnitude are scarce and highly sought after, which makes this sink not just a decorative piece but a monumental, truly unrepeatable fragment of the Earth's geological history. One of the natural marble sinks most specified by architects and interior designers for high-end projects.

Dual Finish — Raw Natural Exterior and Polished Interior

What sets Marmer Butik marble sinks apart is the sophisticated contrast between two finishes that complement each other perfectly. The exterior preserves the raw, natural texture of the marble, exactly as the stone came out of the earth, with organic edges, authentic irregularities and the raw beauty of travertine in its original form. The interior is fully polished, revealing a soft, elegant sheen that highlights the natural veining of the marble while ensuring comfort, practicality and easy cleaning in daily use.

This contrast between rustic and refined reaches its peak of visual impact in the XXXL size — the wide, deep, sculptural bowl offers an incomparable experience of use, with generous room reminiscent of a small hand bath. It is the largest polished travertine surface you will find in a handcrafted sink, a visual spectacle that reveals the full richness of the marble's veining and tones. Ideal for long vanity tops in presidential suites, monumental powder rooms and architectural projects where the sink is the absolute protagonist.

Travertine Marble — Formed in Volcanic Lands

The travertine marble used in this sink is born in a unique setting: the volcanic islands of Indonesia, where nature worked for thousands of years to create a stone rich in texture, organic veining and tones impossible to reproduce artificially. Every block extracted from these quarries carries the natural marks of time, pressure and mineralization, making each piece absolutely one of a kind.

After extraction, the blocks go through a rigorous selection — only stones with a flawless structure and singular beauty are chosen to become sinks. Master artisans carve each sink by hand, respecting the natural curves of the stone. Unlike mass-produced ceramic, porcelain or resin sinks, travertine marble does not fade or peel, and it gains even more character over time, becoming a true heirloom in your home.

Who is this sink for?

  • Luxury master and presidential suites: This is the absolute centerpiece of the bathroom — a true natural sculpture of extraordinary proportions that turns the vanity top into a monumental work of art.
  • Powder room with total impact: Impress visitors with the largest travertine marble sink in the collection, a piece that becomes the absolute focal point of the room and a talking point among your guests.
  • Contemporary and minimalist projects: The contrast between the raw exterior and the polished interior creates a large-scale sculptural focal point in spaces with clean lines and neutral colors.
  • Mediterranean and Balinese projects: Travertine marble is the material of choice in Bali resorts and Mediterranean architecture — in an XXXL piece, the effect is truly cinematic.
  • Boutique hotels — presidential suites: Sets the most exclusive suite bathrooms apart with a monumental handcrafted piece that guests will never forget.
  • Mansions and high-end homes: Pairs perfectly with solid wood, natural stone or concrete vanity tops, adding incomparable refinement and personality to the space.

Which faucet pairs with this XXXL marble sink?

As the largest marble sink in the Marmer Butik collection, it calls for a carefully chosen faucet that harmonizes the ensemble and works across the full length of the bowl:

  • VERY tall high-arc faucet (recommended): Minimum height of 35 cm (14 in) — in proportion to the monumental size of the sink, ensuring the right flow in such a wide bowl.
  • Wall-mounted faucet with a long spout: A sculptural look that leaves the vanity top free for the majestic presence of the sink, recommended for signature projects.
  • Two faucets side by side (highly recommended): For this XXXL sink, at 80 cm (31 in) or more in length, we strongly suggest installing two faucets at either end — a sculptural symmetry and double functionality that make the most of the full length of the piece.
  • Brushed gold and aged bronze: Create a warm, classic harmony with the cream of the travertine — a timeless combination.
  • Matte black: Creates an elegant contemporary contrast, ideal for modern, minimalist projects.
  • Chrome: Versatile and neutral, works with any bathroom style.

How to Care for Your Travertine Marble Sink

  • Regular cleaning: A soft cloth or gentle sponge with water and mild soap keeps the surface clean without harming the marble.
  • Avoid harsh products: Never use acids, bleach, solvents or abrasive products — they can stain and damage the marble finish.
  • Dry after use: Avoid standing water to preserve the natural sheen and prevent stains.
  • Periodic sealing: Apply a marble-specific stone sealer every 6 to 12 months to protect against moisture and liquid absorption.
  • Watch out for pigmented substances: Makeup, creams and colored soaps can stain the marble if not wiped off quickly.
  • Do not use rough sponges: Choose soft cloths to avoid scratching the polished interior.
  • Impact protection: Despite the strength of marble, heavy objects can cause cracks or chips.

Expert tip: This is one of the heaviest sinks on the market — the vanity top and supporting structure must be sized by a professional (architect, engineer or cabinetmaker) to carry the weight with complete safety. We recommend vanity tops in natural stone, concrete or reinforced solid wood. To preserve the natural luminosity of cream travertine, apply a sealer made specifically for marble every 6 months — this seals the micropores and keeps the surface looking silky and protected for much longer.

Frequently asked questions about the XXXL travertine marble sink

Is this marble sink suitable for daily use?

Yes. Travertine marble is widely used in luxury bathrooms, hotels and palaces. With simple cleaning (water and mild soap) and sealing twice a year, the sink keeps its beauty and functionality for decades, gaining even more character over time.

What is the delivery time for this sink?

This piece is in stock at our showroom in Londrina, Brazil. Crating and FedEx collection take 3 to 7 business days after payment confirmation; international transit is usually 2 to 10 business days depending on the destination. Import duties and taxes are included in the price (DDP) — nothing extra to pay on delivery.

Are color variations and veining a defect?

No. Variations in tone, differing veins, superficial micro-fissures and small irregularities are natural characteristics of travertine marble — they attest to the authenticity and genuine origin of the stone. The interior is hand-polished to ensure full hygiene and functionality, and each piece has its own identity.

Can my vanity top support the sink's weight of 77 kg (170 lb)?

For XXXL sinks of this weight, vanity tops MUST be in thick granite (minimum 3 cm / 1.2 in), solid marble, thick reinforced solid wood or a reinforced concrete slab. Plain MDF tops or thin structures will NOT support the weight. Always consult an architect, engineer or specialized cabinetmaker before installation — this is one of the heaviest sinks on the market.

Can I install this sink in a covered outdoor area?

Yes, but with care. Travertine marble withstands temperature variations, but it is more porous than basalt, so we recommend FULLY covered areas (verandas and indoor spas). Avoid direct exposure to rain, strong sun or constant humidity. For outdoor use, seal more often (every 6 months).

Does this sink come with a drain and P-trap included?

No. The sink is supplied without drain and P-trap. We recommend a 1 1/4" pop-up drain. Marmer Butik offers a line of complementary faucets, fixtures and drains — contact our team on WhatsApp +55 43 99869-4037.

How is such a large, heavy XXXL sink shipped?

Every XXXL marble sink is packed with special reinforced protection (wooden crate or pallet) and shipped by insured freight specialized in fragile, heavy, oversized goods. Receiving it at your home requires 2 to 3 people to move it safely, and handling equipment (a hand truck or forklift) may be needed depending on access. Marmer Butik guides you step by step through the entire logistics process, from dispatch to final delivery.

Marmer Butik, based in Londrina, Brazil, offers an exclusive collection of travertine marble vessel sinks, Riverstone (river stone) sinks in volcanic basalt, petrified wood sinks, natural stone bathtubs, solid wood furniture and handcrafted decor pieces imported from the volcanic islands of Indonesia.
